Services

Our therapy services are provided at a custom-designed facility in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Our facility features a large sensory gym and 2 smaller sensory areas, which contain a  rock wall, slides, ball pits, climbing structures, swings and other suspended equipment, as well as separate therapy rooms and imaginative play areas. We also have a separate classroom space next door that we lease from Allen Breaux Studios where many of our larger group activities are held.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists (OTs) focus on improving the meaningful activities of an individual’s daily life, including home activities, educational activities, play and leisure activities, and self-care activities. Our occupational therapists assess motor development, sensory processing, and social interaction to determine the barriers interfering with efficient participation in those meaningful activities. more info

Speech-Language Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) focus on improving all aspects of communication to increase functioning in the home, at school, and in the community. Our SLPs perform a thorough evaluation of areas of concern, including articulation (speech sound production), fluency (stuttering), language development, reading and writing. We also examine areas of social and cognitive functioning such as engagement, play skills, executive functions, reasoning skills, and problem-solving skills. more info

Feeding Therapy

Members of our professional staff from both the speech-language and occupational therapy departments are trained in the well-known SOS Approach to Feeding. This approach examines the underlying causes of feeding difficulties and addresses them using a non-invasive systematic hierarchy using play-based techniques and family involvement. Both group and individual therapy sessions are used. more info

Early Intervention

Our therapists from both Speech, Occupational, and Feeding Therapy are eager to address concerns in the 0-3 year old population. We think parents should follow their instincts.  If caught early, many challenges can be addressed and their impacts can be minimized.  Early intervention includes services for Torticollis/Plagiocephaly, Sensory Processing Issues, Speech/Language or Communication Issues, and other developmental delays or disorders.  Click here for extensive information about our early intervention services.

Learning Center

Our Learning Center services supplement the therapeutic goals established by our therapists and consists of our BUDS Program and our Connections Program. BUDS offers therapeutic groups that support the development of children ages 2.5-6 years old, especially those who need more support than a community preschool can provide. Our Connections Program provides 1-on-1 Play Sessions by our trained Learning Center staff. The play sessions are based on the principles of the DIR/Floortime Model.
